Outcome

You end up knowing whether your market carries volume, which three to five signals count, where the chain would break, and whether you are send-ready before the first message goes out.

Time required

One two-hour session with sales, plus the checks before sending

Inside the workbook

  1. 4–5The market first, then the signals, and how to find the market
  2. 6–7Defining signals, four classes, with sales rather than for them
  3. 8–10Building the chain: detect, enrich, notify, campaign
  4. 11–12Triggers for a strategy change, and the data layer
  5. 13–15Send-readiness, the checks before sending, the hygiene profile
  6. 16Two evidenced results and the checklist

Page 8 · The chain, link by link

A detected signal with no chain behind it is a notification nobody works.

LinkWhat it doesWhere it breaks
Signaldetects that something changedthe signal is inferred, not observable
Enrichmentadds what the outreach needsit runs, but the fields stay empty
Notificationgets it to a humanit lands in a channel nobody reads
Campaignturns it into outreachthe trigger is not in the message
This is the most common state in teams that have just introduced a signal tool: detection runs, the notifications arrive, and the pipeline does not change.

This is for you

  • you run outbound or are building it
  • the target segment is defined and the question is who to approach when
  • you introduced a signal tool and the pipeline did not change

Not the right fit if

  • your target segment is not defined yet. That is the first step, and this workbook is the second
  • you want a tool comparison. Individual tools appear because a process cannot be described without them, but they are not the subject

Does your market carry volume at all?

In a Launchpad we look at your situation: which signals are candidates, whether the chain is buildable on your existing stack, and where it would break. Including when the answer is that outbound is not your lever.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to my email address?

You get one email with the download. No newsletter, no call, no sequence. If you want to hear from us later, that is your decision.

Do I need particular tools for this?

No. The workbook describes the chain and its break points. Which tools carry it is decided by your existing stack, and the checks before sending apply either way.

We have a signal tool and nothing happens.

That is the normal case and the reason page 8 exists. Detection is the first of four links; without the other three you get a notification nobody works.

What if our market is too small for outbound?

Then the workbook says so. Page 4 names three possible outcomes, and two of them are not outbound. Scaling into a thin market burns it inside a quarter.
